Role of safety net
The main function of the safety net is to prevent people and objects from falling, thereby reducing falling and object damage. Safety nets are placed below or on the side to provide protection during construction of high-altitude buildings, installation of equipment or technical performances. The safety net is usually composed of the net body, side rope, tether and other components, which can effectively prevent people and things from falling and avoid or reduce the resulting injury.
In addition, safety nets have other functions. It intercepts falling materials or tools to prevent them from injuring workers or passers-by. In the construction site, the safety net can also reduce dust and noise pollution to the environment, has a certain flame retardant, to prevent fire caused by welding sparks. Safety net materials usually have small specific gravity, fracture resistance, impact resistance, aging resistance and other physical properties, the commonly used material is high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
According to the different installation methods, the safety net can be divided into safety net and safety flat net. The safety net covers the surface of the building, while the safety net is installed at intervals of one layer. The strength requirements of the vertical net are generally higher than that of the flat net, because it is the side buffer deceleration, and the flat net is directly to undertake the impact of the falling object.
